After selling out their interests in the family business after the sudden death of his father & brother,  Sal commenced a successful period in TV broadcasting.

He was founding Chairman/CEO of Australian Multicultural Television (AMTV) and founder of Telepace Australia (Vatican TV in Australia) operating out of Liverpool in Sydney's South-West.

Unfortunately as AMTV was not supported by either government or the private sector,  after only 3 1/2 years of cutting edge operations it folded.

Sal then resumed his religious studies and joined the Archdiocese of Sydney in 2008 for the Catholic priesthood. After only 1 year Sal was asked to leave by then Sydney Archbishop,  Cardinal George Pell.  This was no doubt due to Sal's principled stand on a number of contentious subjects in the media.

Sal decided to pursue studies in law and human rights and has completed a law degree at the University of New England.

Sal has also completed a bachelor of theology,  majoring in philosophy.

He is passionate about human rights,  equality and justice for all in society.

He is currently a Commonwealth Registered Civil Civil celebrant in Sydney having conducted thousands of funerals and weddings for families of all religious persuasions.

He is fluent in English,  Italian and Arabic and has undertaken studies in Latin,  Greek and Hebrew.
